Acupuncture involves inserting very fine, single-use, stainless steel needles into the skin. It has increasingly been used in Western medicine with a growing body of evidence and clinical research supporting its effectiveness.

It may be used alongside physiotherapy treatment or on its own to address a wide range of common health problems and to reduce pain.

I use an integrated approach to treatment which brings together principles of traditional Chinese medicine, classical acupuncture and western medical acupuncture.

Although acupuncture can help reduce pain and alleviate symptoms associated with many conditions, especially when other more conventional treatments have failed, it does not work for everyone.
Acupuncture may help with symptoms associated with:

-
PCOS
-
Problems relating to the menstrual cycle
-
Headaches and migraines
-
Perimenopause
-
It can be a part of a journey through IVF/IUI, in preparation for IVF or where a diagnosis of unexplained infertility is given
-
Pain relating to pelvic girdle pain and low back pain in pregnancy
-
Stress management and well being
